The scent of summer... From our garden I gather lavender to dry for making lavender sachets.

Tastes of summer... From the market we gather cherries, strawberries and elegant, flat Italian peaches for our eating delight

  6. Oh, those peaches. I used to have a colleague who had a tree and would bring in mounds of donut peaches to share because they ripen too quickly for one family to eat. Well, now you've got me smelling summer lavender and tasting sweet white peaches! (it's me, nikkipolani)

  7. Hi, everyone! The flat peaches are soooo good!! They're delicate in taste, but have a great sweetness too. They're something more new to supermarkets/markets here. We eat them up before I get a chance to do anything with them--bake, or other... LOL!

  9. I am craving these gifts from the garden, especially the peaches. How I love this time for year just for that reason. My plums have a hint of purple now, picked the second tomato today, and actually nibbled a couple grapes. Oh yummmm!

  10. Oh yum! Do you get raspberries, too? We are in peach season here now. :) :)

  11. The fruit indulgence continues here... We have 3 raspberry bushes, and ALL are giving a LOT of fruit this year--we can hardly keep up! We're eating a bowlful of raspberries for dessert most evenings. Soon blackberries and red currants... :o)
