Two Who Love to Walk...

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

---an Old Irish Blessing

  1. What a beautiful little town you live in Tracy. I do so hope that one day I will be able to see it in person. Loving the photo of both of your shadows. I think you have the most beautiful photographic eye. I was thinking about Charlie this morning and wondering if you might be thinking about having another furry family member. I would miss our Mitzie so much and think I will always have an animal in our home to cuddle and love. I can't believe you don't have snow yet! I thought you guys had heavy snow in the winter! Talk about global warming! Love and hugs to you both! xoxo PS - Loving the Irish Blessing also!

    1. Thank you, Marie... Yes, we very much want to have a new fur-friend, though we've not been active about that yet. We're enjoying some couple time now for part of the winter. As we get closer to Easter/spring we hope to welcome a new kitty home! :) But it is almost weird with no snow at the moment. In all the years I've lived here, I think this is the first mid-January I can recall with no snow! The snow is slow to come here in the south of Norway... I'm sure we'll be under a blanket of white before long, though!

    2. I agree it as to be the right time to invite a new furry family member into the home. We were devastated when we lost our Jess, but then in about six months time we got Mitzi and it was the right time for that. They haven't had a lot of snow back home either! The weather is really wierd. I hope they don't get the huge dump that they got at the end of the season a few years ago. You don't know how much I missed you when you were away! I just love you so much my dear friend. It's been what 13 or 14 years now? We need to get together again! xoxo

    3. It's been nearly 10 years since we first met you & Todd, back when you were still in Kent. So it's been a while... and YES, we HAVE to meet up again, and hopefully before too, too long! :) LOVE you both lots!! OXOX

  6. Well, the sun hasn't been shining here today, nor was the road rising up to meet us. We've been stuck indoors due to torrential rain after venturing out for a few essentials this morning and getting very wet!

I see that you still don't have any snow, but at least the sun is shining. Nice to see your neighbourhood too - enjoy your walks.

  9. Thanks for this special walk to show us where you live! The light is just beautiful here and what a pretty street you live on! Is this a current photo? You have less snow than we do. I know you didn't get much)

  10. These ere actually taken on New Year's Day--so very current. What an amazing sky for the first day of a new year--it was breathtaking. The photos don't do it justice. The street we're walking on is actually one parallel to our own street, which we often take as part of a walk in to in-town where we live. It's not always easy getting street pictures, as streets (especially in small towns, like ours) the street are pretty narrow here, compared to back home in the US. So everything sometimes feels on top of each other, and no easy getting a good horizon line, etc. Oh, well... we do our best to get an interesting shot, don't we?! :)
