Love ...to begin lent, on valentine's day

Do everything in LOVE --Corinthians 16:14

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." --Ephesians 4:2-3

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony...with thankfulness in your hearts to God... And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. --Colossians 3:14-17

LOVE and JOY to all of YOU... And blessings to all who begin the journey of Lent today!

  1. I think Valentines Day is the perfect way to begin Lent, the day of Love to start the season of Love, when our Saviour gave us the perfect gift of Love. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." ~John 15:13 Happy Valentines Day to you, TJ and Luna! xoxo

    1. LOVE to you & yours too, Jeanie! The fasting is going great today... and I don't mind it. Fasting is a beautiful addition to a spiritual practice. I must say though, that I will enjoy when we can break the fast tonight with fish soup and Lent pretzel-rolls I baked... mmm... Time to eat yet?! ;)

  4. Oh, I do love these scriptures. They are perfect for Valentines Day. I hope you have a sweet day. Just yesterday I was at a book club lunch and learned a lot about Lent. I really like the celebrations before Easter. Indeed, may be all do everything in love.
Love this one and sending warm thoughts your way as you begin your Lent. I enjoy learning about your faith and love for our divine Savior, Jesus Christ.
Love and hugs for you dear Sister in Christ!

    1. Your book club lunch sounds such fun, LeAnn... is it like a Bible study group, maybe, or do you read all sorts? At one time there weren't too many books focused solely on Lent, but that has become better. It's such an important time in the Christian year, is Lent, much should be made about it! ;) Wishing you & yours a blessed time now in these days as we journey to Easter glory! ((HUGS))
