Morning Light

"Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment." --Thich Nhat Hanh

No big post for today... Just admiring the morning light captured with my phone this week...

It has been really cold here for many days now. A lot of indoor cozy--tea or hot chocolate, comfort food, fireside cheer, reading, BBC Radio streaming, knitting/crochet, play with Luna... And there will likely be a repeat of all of that this weekend!

A lovely extra thing this week, has been is noticing how much longer the light is lasting in the afternoons...

Wishing you all a blessed day, and a beautiful weekend ahead! :)))

    1. Thay is one of the most wisest of men... :) The heart-shaped cutting board is of lovely olive wood. We bought it from this shop on Etsy, Skandwood: https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/SkandWood They have so many beautiful utensils and things for the kitchen made of olive wood!

    1. Some of the larger items, like the cutting boards, cost more... but many of the wooden spoons and other things are quite nicely priced. With care they last a long time. I rub a little oil into them each month, and that keeps them in good shape. :)

  4. It's the little things that are the most important....and taking the time to notice and enjoy them! I think spending as much time behind the lens of my camera is making me more aware of my surroundings and appreciating all those little things. Your morning light is lovely!!!!!

  8. Beautiful pics showing the patterning of light. I like seeing it through tree branches giving a dappled effect. Spring is on its way! Bulbs are poking out of the ground here, heedless of snow flurries.

  9. Yes, I love that clear slanting light, too. Partly because it means I’m not in an office missing it :-)

  12. Really loved your photo of the morning light. Also, liked the quote. Waking up to that thoughts is wonderful. I like the things that you are doing when you can't get out and about. We are expecting snow tonight so I am thinking warm fireplace, hot chocolate and a good book. The photo of Luna is precious.
Sending warm thoughts, blessing and hug your way dear Sister in Christ!
