A pause for self-care, yarn,... and Luna...

For the past weeks I've felt in a bit of a slump, health-wise... Being sick at Easter, and getting over it, took a few days. My energy has been at the bottom for a while anyway, and I suspect I have low iron again, which hasn't helped either...so I'm trying to fix that with diet and supplements. Some headaches and changes in vision have also been happening lately... Maybe new glasses? I take a visit to the Optometrist this week to find out... *sigh* ...

With the snow melted away and a few signs of spring tickling the days, I hope to be more fit to enjoy some days ahead! (The tulips above aren't from our garden, but the supermarket...hopefully our own flowers coming soon!) So I'm taking a few days offline to try and bounce back a bit, and, I hope, to get some things done behind the scenes here... So I need to get in shape. The garden will need me soon. There's some spring cleaning chores still on the to-do list. Oh, and lingering projects--like my never-ending Ocean Ripple blanket. And now there's socks on my knitting needles too! I made a start, and it is sooo much fun!!

So a bit of self-care...and yarn-ing... and I'll see you soon!

P.S... and just for fun... our girl, and her shadow... :)))

  1. Love Luna and her pretty shadow. I am so sorry to hear that you are still feeling poorly and down. I am keeping you in my prayers dear friend and hoping that you are soon feeling in the "Pink" again. Oh, I just reminded myself of the blog I first discovered you on, "Pink Pearl." We have been friends a long time my sweet friend. So grateful for you in my life and all that you bring to the table and share. LOVE YOU! Now go, get well, and feel better soon! xoxo

  2. Oh Tracy, I'm sorry that things aren't looking up on the health situation but between double doses of winter stuff, Easter and all -- well, it does sound like a little self-care time is due. I think knitting can be therapeutic and I love those socks loads and loads, so hopefully you can soon have that pretty pink pair on your feet!

Luna's shadow photo is quite wonderful! That was a terrific capture, definitely right place at the right time! Lay low and when you come back to us, be well!

  3. Take care and enjoy the self-care. What a sweet picture of your Luna too. Sorry I haven't visited much lately, I ended up with a cold and icky cough. Hoping it goes away soon as it makes it hard to think clear enough to post anything. Sending hugs!!!

  4. I'm sorry you aren't feeling so well. Rest and take care.
I read your post about making your own clothes and have a suggestion. If you have a piece of clothing you really like but is wearing out, make a paper pattern from it by laying it on the paper and drawing the lines. Alternately, you can cut it apart and make your pattern from the pieces.

    1. Thanks, Willow... And thanks for the sewing reminder, too! I have used ready-to-wear clothing that I like/fits me for drafting my own patterns, or start of a pattern...so I will definitely be doing some of that for my handmade wardrobe in future! :)
