French Boudoir Quilt... revived

My French Boudoir Quilt top. It is two years old, unfinished. The last time it was shown here was about two years ago, when it was made during a very difficult time. I finished piecing the top. Then, sadly, it got packed away, and while not completely forgotten, it was neglected. Last week I took the quilt top out of storage. I had almost forgotten how pretty this is.

So... summer project--get this beauty finished!

Do you have a summer project, or something special you're doing or is happening this summer?

Oh, and something else... a note about comments and replies. I've not been receiving any comment notifications from Blogger for the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure why, as that was a nice feature, and then I'd pop over to Blogger and publish comments. Not sure if this is something Blogger is no longer doing, as I've not been able to find much info... But if I'm slow to update comments, not to worry. And apologies if I'm slow to reply to comments as usual. With summer-like days here now, I'm more outside than indoors in front of screens. LOL... Thanks, friends, as always, for visiting! :)

  2. Oh, my sweet friend, I am having the same struggle with blogger. I don't know what is happening or how to fix it. Anyway, I hope you get my thoughts today. I love your quilt top and will look forward to your finished project. I think my project this year will be to actually finish a couple of novel series. I don't get a lot of time to read but I love it when I do.While we were on our mission for two years, I didn't read any novels at all. I love getting into a good story. I am also going to be teaching three of my grandchildren to play basic piano. That means I will have to practice myself. Anyway, that's a couple of things I am up too.
As always, I love reading your thoughts sweet sister in Christ. Sending hugs your way!

    1. So lovely to see you here, LeAnn! I'm not sure what's going on with Blogger, and it's a real puzzler. But at least comments are appearing now, and I can publish them. Last week it was all weird... LOL! Oh, but that is VERY exciting that you'll be teaching a few of your grands to play piano! That will be a fun time of discovery for you all, I should think. And maybe now you have some moments to spare (occasionally!) you can treat yourself to time for reading. :) God Bless... ((HUGS))

  3. That is just beautiful! How large will it be when finished, Tracy? I was trying to figure out based on the scale of the floorboards but gave up! I love the colors and can't wait to see the end piece.

The blogger thing is making me crazy too. I want to reply to everyone whose address I have but it means plowing into sent mail to get them as my mail program doesn't hold addresses indefinitely in terms of just starting the name -- Tra and you come up, for example. Not Outlook's best feature. So, if I haven't written in a bit, just responded to correspondence, I have to look it up again and then add traveling to the mix and comment build up and blah blah!

So, I notice you have a place you can reply on your blog to individual posts instead of going into your comments section and making a new comment. I've tried to find out how to do that -- is it a template thing? Maybe...

    1. Thanks, Jeanie! This quilt top is approx 52-inches square, and once it is quilted and bound, be about that that size. Big enough to snuggle under, but not bed size. Yes, the Blogger thing is not fun! ;/ I miss getting the notifications and replying that way, as well as here. I've just been going into Blogger, updating comments and then just going right into each post's comment section and replying that way. It seems about all we can do right now. I wonder why Blogger stopped with the notifications?

  4. Love the quilt. The colors are you. Oh that Blogger!! Everyone is having problems with them. I have posted a complaint and they said 8 days ago that it would be fixed within the week. Ha! It still is broken. Sure is a pain that I hope gets resolved soon.
