Apple Sauce

"Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree." --Martin Luther

Last week we harvested the last of our apples. We've been putting them in storage. Many will get used and/or eaten in some way in the weeks ahead. And some were cooked into apple sauce this week. Delicious!!

Happy Weekend! :)))

Pray for you to have a delightful Sabbath Day. I'm back from my 10 day Social Media Fast and will write about a few of my thoughts. It was a good experience. Now it's catch up and see what you all have been doing.
Sending loving thoughts, hugs and prayed for blessing for you sweet sister in Christ.

  4. The apple sauce was just sooo good! With a little sprinkle of cinnamon...mmm... who needed cake or more?! ;) We're not completely sure what varieties our apples are. We have two old apple trees, each a different variety. The ones shown here, though, we think may be Ingrid Marie--a variety that come into production in 1910. It's fun trying to play sleuth!

  5. We love applesauce Tracy and it freezes very well. I do it unsweetened. Its so lovely on its own with maybe some ice cream, or in cakes, or of course with pork! Like LeAnn, I did the 10 day media fast and will be writing about that soon. Love you my sweet friend! xoxo

    1. I added just a tiny bit of sugar to our applesauce, as our apples are a bit tart. I'm glad it freezes well, as we have quite a bit now! VERY much looking forward to your thoughts on your social media break, Marie! OXOX

  6. They look great! I hope in the years to come we have such pretty apples. My husband bought a few apple trees, 3 years ago, I think, we had a few, but either the squirrels got them or they blew off in the wind.
